Yay it's almost the weekend! I hope you have some fun adventures planned this weekend. I'm having a little reunion with 6 of my girlfriends from college. It's been a while since I've seen them so I'm really excited. We're going to make dinner together (and I'm bringing the paleo cookies!) drink wine, catch up, maybe go out for a few drinks, and then we'll probably watch a movie before we pass out. We were all in a sorority together so it'll be just like old times. Except that now we're old and can't party like we used to. Maybe I can convince them all to do this workout with me Sunday morning. What do you think?
If you don't own a jump rope watch the video for a substitution. Although I highly recommend getting one! They're small, inexpensive, easy to travel with and great for conditioning. If you don't have dumbbells for the overhead walking lunges find whatever you can that has some weight and hold it over your head. *Suggested weight for dumbbells 15-25#.
Also, I've included strict pull ups in this weekends workout. If there's a park near you with a pull up bar, or you have one at home I highly recommend using it. I used a tree in this video but I only recommend this if you're pull ups are efficient and you're 100% sure that you have a stable and easily accessible tree. Incorporating pulling movements is important, however, if none of these are an option for you right now replace the pull ups with push-ups. I'll work on incorporating more pulling movements in the next few weeks!
I've also recommended ROMWOD for recovery this weekend. I started incorporating ROMWOD about 4 months ago and it's been amazing! You can try it out free for 14 days and see for yourself how much your range of motion improves.
