Almond Mocha Protein Shake

I love chocolate shakes, and I love coffee. So I figured, why not put them together and make an awesome protein shake. I use PurePharma's PR3 chocolate flavored protein*. It's made with organic rice protein concentrate (I know, I know, rice isn't paleo, but trust me this protein is super clean and good for you, it's the best I've found!), evaporated coconut water and bioactive collagen. No protein powder is truly Paleo anyway, and I prefer to get my nutrients from real food, but it's nice to have a quick post workout shake to aid in recovery without having to stomach a whole meal. Plus, if you ever get a sweet tooth like I do, this will hit the spot, I promise!

Almond Mocha Protein Shake

INGREDIENTS

  • 1 small frozen banana
  • 1/2 cup unsweetened almond milk
  • 1/2 cup cold brew coffee
  • 1/2 tbsp almond butter
  • 1 serving chocolate flavored protein powder (I used PurePharma PR3*)

INSTRUCTIONS

  1. Place all ingredients in a blender and process until smooth
  2. Pour into a glass and serve
