This week I'm celebrating my good friend Amber's 29th birthday! Amber and I became friends last year when we traveled to Maryland together to participate in the NPGL Combine. We didn't know each other that well, but we travelled and stayed together in Maryland and quickly became friends. She's awesome. I know that I can always text her to train or hang out. Training with her is so much fun. Even when it sucks it's fun. For the past three months I've been in my knee brace and I've been very limited in what I can do. It makes it difficult to train with some people. I modify a lot of things obviously. But when I train with Amber she modifies for me. She's willing to program workouts with movements that I can do, so that we can push each and train together. It's really cool. Three months (and counting) in a brace isn't fun, and some days I struggle to motivate myself, but when you have friends who are willing to modify their own training to workout with you, it helps so much!
After our we did Amber's Birthday workout this week I asked her to demo this weeks Workout Anywhere. It's a good one!
These workouts are made to be done anywhere with minimal to no equipment, so that no matter where you are this weekend, you can get a workout in!
20 jumping lunges
20 weighted hollow rocks
20 burpees over an object
20 Russian twists
*If you don't have a medicine ball just grab any object from your house. I like to stuff a backpack with a couple heavy books and some towels.
