Weekend Workout Anywhere #29

Guess what?! My brace is off! Tears of joy! I had an x-ray last week and it showed a lot of healing around the fracture on my patella. The brace I was wearing allowed 120 degrees of flexion, and in my physical therapy appointment yesterday I was comfortable bending my knee to 135 degrees, so he said I no longer needed to wear it. It feels so strange honestly. I've been wearing that brace for 4 months now! Taking it off completely was so freeing. But also scary. I walk a little funny in fear that I might do something wrong and injure it again. And I can't do a whole lot just yet, mostly isolation exercises to strengthen the muscles around my knee; my quad, hamstring and calf. But nevertheless I'm on the right track and excited to get back to where I was!

I'm driving down to the CrossFit Games in Los Angeles tonight. I've been watching a lot of the events online this week but I'm so anxious to get down there to watch them in person. I have so many friends competing this year and so many friends in town from all over the world. I can't wait to see everyone! Although my CrossFit season ended early this year and motivating myself the past few months has been a struggle, knowing that I'm on track to heal and regain my strength by next season keeps me going. And getting to watch the top athletes in the world compete all weekend is sure to fire me up! If I can't get to the gym one day this weekend I plan to do this workout in the house where I'm staying.

These workouts are made to be done anywhere with minimal to no equipment, so that no matter where you are this weekend, you can get a workout in!

1 minute max rep strict HSPUs
1 min rest

2 rounds for time:
50 air squats
40 burpees
30 sit-ups
