This has been a long time coming, and it was a tough decision to make. But a necessary one! So, why the new name? Well..things change and people evolve. I guess that's the short and sweet answer. 5 years ago I started this blog as a way to document and share my experiments in the kitchen while exploring the paleo diet. I didn't really know where it was going to go, I just knew I wanted to eat healthy whole foods and I wanted to find a way to make them taste good. Today I still enjoy sharing the same type of recipes, but I've incorporated a whole hell of a lot more into this blog. This has become a platform for sharing all aspects of my life, including health, fitness, food, travel and much more. I want this to be a place where anyone and everyone can come to find their own version of healthy. We all have different roots. We all find joy in different things. We all have different taste preferences and dietary requirements. I want this to be all encompassing. There's no one right way to lead a healthy life, and I want to show that in my blog.
You can still expect to find whole food recipes, but you're going to see dairy, some grains, and the occasional treat. I've taken a much more flexible approach to my diet in the last year or two and I think that's important. I work as a nutrition coach and I never expect perfection from my clients. Life isn't easy and dieting isn't either. It's important to live and enjoy life. This is going to be a place where I share everything that makes me happy and keeps me healthy. Food and exercise are medicine. The way we treat ourselves and others impact our health and those around us.
