COOKIES SO GOOD MY ANCESTORS WOULD APPROVE?!

COOKIES SO GOOD MY ANCESTORS WOULD APPROVE?!

That's their slogan and that's what they claim over at Paleo Bakehouse. Well I'm no ancestor yet, but I would like to think I'm a bit of a cookie expert. I received a batch in the mail this week (the day I was supposed to start my 21 Day Sugar Detox of all days) a sign from the Gods? Maybe, okay maybe not, I'm starting tomorrow, but I had to give an honest review, so I'm doing this for the blog. I got three different kinds, Amazing Almond, Chocolate Chip, and Power Brownie Cookie, I like the names, so that was a good start. After I was done taking photographs, sorry if they aren't great, I was anxious to try them, I opened one of each flavor and poured myself a large glass of almond milk, because who doesn't love milk and cookies? And OMG they were soooo good. The Amazing Almond was definitely my favorite. I could have eaten the whole package in one sitting. The chocolate chip was a classic and the power brownie was pretty tasty too. To keep myself from devouring all of them, and to share the paleo love with some fellow crossfitters I packaged one of each flavor up in a bag and took them with me to training in the morning. They had theirs after our workout and I'm pretty sure they came to the same consensus I did. Actually I know they did, my friend and fellow training partner texted me after we left and said "I just ate all of my cookies, they are soo good!! I'm really happy you only gave me 3, otherwise it would have been bad." Haha, exactly how I felt. So if you're looking for a tasty treat to satisfy your sweet tooth with convenience and made from healthy natural ingredients then I'd recommend trying Paleo Bakehouse, I don't think you'll be disappointed!

WHOLLY CAPPELLO'S I'M EATING PASTA

WHOLLY CAPPELLO'S I'M EATING PASTA

OMG I just ate pasta! And I'll admit I felt a little guilty. I haven't had real pasta in over a year! This is crazy. And possibly the greatest thing since bacon, if I dare say that. So there's this awesome company out of Colorado called Cappello's who sent me samples of the three grain free pastas they carry; fettuccini, gnocchi and lasagne. And I thought, where do I even begin? Is this even going to be any good? I love pasta, and it was a tough one to give up when I went paleo, but it's been over a year now since it's touched my lips and I was content with my life and the lack of pasta within it, or so I thought. But then this happened. I decided to give the fettuccini noodles a whirl first and try a traditional spaghetti and meatball recipe (because I love spaghetti and meatballs). And let me just begin by saying this was so easy to cook. The pasta came shipped to me with a freezer bag to keep them fresh, and then it said to keep them in the fridge, or freeze them if you want to use them later. So I had this box in the fridge and the rest are in the freezer to play with later. I boiled up a little water, popped this package in, and boom, ready in 45 seconds! 45 freaking seconds! How perfect is that?
