A lot of things have been happening in my life lately, therefore I felt you needed an update and could probably use a new recipe in your life. I've recently started interning at my gym because I've decided I'd like to become a certified CrossFit trainer. It's incredible the opportunity I've been given to learn from some of the best trainers out there. The owners of my gym, CrossFit 209 Sport, Gabe Subry and Vince Carter are incredible. They've been doing CrossFit since it's humble beginnings and know more about the sport and the way the body works than I could possibly imagine ever knowing. I've recently wondered why I hadn't realized sooner what a strong passion I have for fitness, nutrition and the opportunity to teach others how to become healthy.

Just found out that these bars are from PaleOMG. Now I'm dreaming about them. They were seriously so good! If you haven't read my post for the Raw Brownie Bars, than I'll just quickly reiterate that I didn't actually make these myself, a friend did and they were probably one of the best things I've tasted, so I had to share! Ps I hate this no sugar challenge! I haven't even finished one week yet. Last night I had dreams about sugar. I guess I really am an addict. Hoping this gets easier. Seeing as I've been living in Australia for over a year and a half now, I felt it was time to make a proper aussie treat.  I chose to start out with Anzac Biscuits, a staple on Anzac Day!  Unfortunately these absolutely delicious treats are packed full of grains, refined sugar and butter.  But lucky for me (and you) the healthy chef has come up with this great paleo version.  Here's my take on these yummy biscuits.

GRANOLA

GRANOLA

Today I had a special visitor, my best friends brother David is spending the weekend with me.  He moved in with us last September, but went travelling around Australia and then Asia in January.  He's so adventurous and I definitely envy him!  He's now on his trek back to California, but doesn't leave until Tuesday morning so I've been able to spend a bit of time with him before he goes.  Last night we went to see Ted at the movie theatre, which was hilarious!  And this morning I made a nice breakfast feast.  It's always good to have some guinea pigs around.  One of the things I made was a breakfast granola, and it turned out so good!  It's a calorie bomb, but definitely worth it for a treat every once in a while. I served it like cereal with almond milk, but you could also use light coconut milk, or sprinkle it on top of some berries, whatever you like!
