A lot of things have been happening in my life lately, therefore I felt you needed an update and could probably use a new recipe in your life. I've recently started interning at my gym because I've decided I'd like to become a certified CrossFit trainer. It's incredible the opportunity I've been given to learn from some of the best trainers out there. The owners of my gym, CrossFit 209 Sport, Gabe Subry and Vince Carter are incredible. They've been doing CrossFit since it's humble beginnings and know more about the sport and the way the body works than I could possibly imagine ever knowing. I've recently wondered why I hadn't realized sooner what a strong passion I have for fitness, nutrition and the opportunity to teach others how to become healthy.

I recently posted a recipe for Simple Date Balls because they were just that, simple! Simply blend some dates with a few other ingredients and you've got yourself a quick delicious treat. These are also simple, but take a tad bit more work (not a lot, just a tad) but the flavour you get is so worth it! This is another delicious recipe from my crossfit coach.

AVOCADO AND MANGO SALAD WITH ORANGE VINAIGRETTE

This is a yummy salad that my mom made when I was visiting home last. It was so tasty I had to share the recipe. The only issue is that the vinaigrette was made with passion fruit juice concentrate, and I had a look at the label and its full of added sweeteners. I've made it again with orange juice concentrate (which still might be a little iffy for a stick paleo follower) but at least there aren't any added sugars. Be sure to check the label when you buy yours, and feel free to try it with fresh squeezed orange juice and let me know how it turns out! This recipe is modified from epicurious.
